Two years ago, when I pitched this series to my editor, I described it as The Pirates of the Caribbean meets The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, simply because it seemed that no one was familiar with the word steampunk. It’s showing up all over bookstores now, but I say there still isn’t enough steampunk romance… and this series is all about the romance.

The Iron Seas is thrilling adventure, featuring bold, sexy characters exploring an exciting new world. But above all, this steampunk series is full of heart, wonder, and romance.

ABOUT MELJEAN

Meljean was raised in the middle of the woods, and hid under her blankets at night with fairy tales, comic books, and romances. She left the forest and went on a misguided tour through the world of accounting before focusing on her first loves, reading and writing–and she realized that monsters, superheroes, and happily-ever-afters are easily found between the covers, as well as under them, so she set out to make her own.
