Apparently the money I sent in for a speeding ticket 3 years ago never made it so they suspended my license. Only I had no idea. Until my cop fiance went to add me to his insurance and our agent told him my license was suspended..and had been for over a year. Niiice. Needless to say MM wasn't very happy with me. And I wasn't very happy $460 later. :( Glad he let you off, though. That happened to me last year. And, hey, are you saying you went to bed at 4:30 am and got, like, no sleep whatever (hey! you went to bed shortly after I got up!) or that you went to bed at 4:30pm and got to sleep for hours and hours? The cop that pulled me over 8 years ago must have either been having a really bad day or just been a jerk in general because he turned a small speeding ticket into a huge ordeal because the brake light was out, which my parents had just found out the night before and didn't have time to fix before I took their car to get to my classes the next morning. Actually it wasn't as bad as it could have been -- the officer who stopped me could have a) ticketed me, b) prevented me from going anywhere, considering that I technically didn't have a license (despite the pretty little plastic thing I had). But instead he said, "I'm going to drive away -- and wait until I'm gone before you head off to the DMV, so that I don't see you driving." So I'm not out $300 for the fine, or stuck at the mall where my sister works, trying to figure out how to get home ... and then go pick up my daughter from kindergarten.
