Oh my gosh! I did edits by candlelight too. I’m up in Seattle and lost power Thursday – Sunday. I had to charge my laptop in our car. Don’t you appreciate the little things now? Like, um, heat?

I have nothing witty to add since I can’t stop laughing. There would have to be huge amounts of money involved for me to voluntarily take a cold shower. Three days. Ugh.

Overheard in Oregon

Suburban Dad: Honey, the girl in front of us has the stink of a thousand unwashed bodies.
S-Mom: Shh, S-Dad. I think she’s homeless. Don’t make her feel bad. I don’t they have shower facilities outside.
S-Dad: Take daughter to car. We can’t have her exposed to the possible disease this carrier might have.
S-Mom: S-Dad, why do you think the homeless person is mailing something. Shouldn’t she use that $.39 for a slice of cheese or something. S-Dad: She must be a well off homeless person.
S-Mom: Isn’t that an oxymoron?
S-Dad: who cares. Let’s go home and use the USPS.com site and mail it from the sanctity of our white suburban home.
