We are interrupting the fishing trip for my birthday. It’s all about me today (okay, and maybe a few other people who have also been born today)! We also share a birthday with Punky Brewster, so you know that’s special. So special that Maili made me this! (Seriously. Click on that baby and check out the details. I almost died laughing, which is just about the best way to start off a birthday.)
Holy Crap, Meljean is 32 years old!
Thank you to everyone who has twittered or stopped by my Facebook and offered me birthday wishes and e-mails. Honestly, I’ve had “Happy Birthday” said to me more times today than in the sum total of my life. You guys are awesome.

The best birthday gift I ever received is probably the white-water rafting trip my ex-girlfriend Alison gave me for my 24 birthday! Hot damn was that exciting! We floating down the Potomac in utterly-grand fashion!

The best birthday I’ve ever had.. is probably this year’s birthday. I didn’t receive material gifts, but one of my best friends dragged me out of the house to have a quiet dinner with my 4 other friends. I’m not very social and not big on events, but it was really nice to know that someone cared enough about me to make sure I had some fun on my birthday. Also, this year was the first birthday I’ve ever spent together with my mother. The very first time. I wish everyone’s birthday is as meaningful as mine’s this year.
I really want to read Tessa Dare’s Goddess of The Hunt or Erin Mccarthy’s Hard and Fast. Tessa’s a new favorite, and Erin on is a much beloved favorite since her very first book.

The best present I ever received on my birthday was one I didn’t know about until over 4 years later. We adopted a little girl and boy last year and our daughter was born on my birthday.

Best birthday present ever was a ticket stub signed by all the members of Everclear. I went to the show with friends but had to leave before the band came out to greet their fans. A fellow Leo and lover of all things Everclear got them to sign the stub and call my voicemail to wish me a happy birthday.

Oh for my birthday i wish i could celebrate with my best friend. It doesn’t seem extraordinary but she lives on the other side of the ocean now and i haven’t seen her in 2 years.
The best present i got was for my 20th birthday, my friends performed a rock show just for me. They got fake tattoos with my name on, dressed up as a rock band and played for me.It was pretty funny, that was a great present =)

The best birthday that I had was when I was home after being in England for 7 years and I was able to celebrate it with my family and friends, plus it was a extra stellar bonus that I was able to partake of my Mom’s most yummy Chocolate cake made just for me!

The best, most fun birthday I had was this year (April) when I had a birthday bash on my blog. I gave away stuff to people and got lots of birthday wishes and it was just FUN.
I took a look at my Amazon Wish list and see Refactoring SQL Applications on my list, but you know, it’s expensive and it would not make my heart go pitter pat. The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Brinqhurst would be nice.
However, the book I’m really jonesing after is your October book.

Happy Birthday! Love that cover! In a mostly unrelated story I found out I was hetrosexual from a WW comic when I was about 5. There was a drawing of a beefcake laid out on a gurney covered to his waist by a sheet. I loved that picture so much. Took me a few years to figure out why though.
My b-day is two days after Christmas, I’m one of the poor ripped off Christmas babies. Best gift ever was my Barbie Dream House. Second grade. Nothing to date has topped it. Even the Emerald earrings (shhhhhh, don’t tell my husband).

The best birthday present I ever got was every single book Mary Stewart ever published. My husband knew I loved her and so he ordered used copies and first editions from around the world and they began arriving around my birthday and kept on coming for weeks afterward. It was bliss…
