I’m at Sybil’s.

It’s GUEST AUTHOR DAY at The Good, the Bad, and the Unread. Come, talk fangirl, pantsing, get an extended sneak peek at Colin’s story — and comment for a chance to win a copy of DEMON ANGEL or an ARC of my June release, DEMON MOON. And Missy’s coming out to play … just a little.

And I was late getting stuff to her  so if you go and it’s not up yet … it will be soon.

during my adventures at my local bookstore, i saw your book in the new romance section. I read the author’s bio on the back cover and chuckled. Definately one of the most original and adorable bios i’ve read in a long time. I was wondering if you had to write many versions for that back cover piece. I can’t wait to read your book. ;)

Hi Long — it should be coming to you anytime now :)

Did I have to write many version of the bio — or the description of the book on that back cover?

The bio, I whipped out in about thirty seconds, and tried to make it as non-dorky as possible (though I don’t think it worked). The back cover copy is written by the marketing people at Berkley — they take my synopsis, compress it down into cover copy, then send it to me. My cp and I tweaked it, came up with several different versions, and then sent it back to my editor. Then my editor worked it a bit more (my version was too long, surprise surprise) and the final result is that joint effort.
