Iron Duke cover! (sans airship)
So, this is the almost-final cover to THE IRON DUKE. If you saw the prelim version in the Berkley fall catalog, you’ll notice the changes are basically that he’s bigger and dirtier…just the way I like him.
The background will be changed a little (they are adding an airship) but since it’s a small alteration and may be a while before we see the final version, I’ve been given the go-ahead to post this.
And just the front cover, w/o the back:

oh, very very nice…
I like it!! For some reason, the “shirtless man in jacket” motif really works for me. Maybe it’s the mystery–where is his shirt? I also think it reminds me of love scenes where the heroine is naked and the hero is fully dressed. That kind of sensual contrast/visual is very appealing. Plus, cool jacket!
Okay, number one, this cover is really compelling. I have this great gut reaction to it. I just love the mix of sensibilities in it! I’m so excited. Also, hey, when did this gorgeous site go up? Nice work!! I is totally fun to look at and dig around in. I have been marvelling at the wealth of work you’ve put into the world, all the pretty covers. Yippee!
This cover is bootyful! Did you have a hand in its design?? Seriously can’t wait to read this book.
Have I ever mentioned how very much I love Steampunk?? Verrrrra nice cover! SO excited for it to get here! Congrats!
Hmmm Man chesty Duke goodness.
He’s so pretty!
