Not wounded, sire, but dead.
Deadline, upcoming.
Head cold, approaching.
Violence in the story, extreme. Wondering if maybe too much, but still lopping off heads left and right (and top?)
PMS, already here.
Desire to reply to e-mail informing me that a new review of Demon Moon is up, and let the review editor know that her reviewer just rewrote Harriet Klausner’s review, and to respond to another e-mail and point out that Colin is so NOT French that it’s almost funny, and that he’d be mortally offended to be called such, suppressed. (But my PMS apparently doesn’t let me suppress it here; I really wish these sites wouldn’t e-mail me to let me know they’ve reviewed me, because then I just can’t resist looking and *headdesking* My inability to not look is everybody’s fault but my own.)
All the reasons why I love AAR, TRR, Mrs. Giggles, Dear Author, SBTB, and reader blogs, reminded of.
Mountains of books that I want to read due to those reminded-of sites, increasing in height.
Happiness that I’m not part of any internet drama, filling my heart.
…back to lopping off heads.

Happiness that I’m not part of any internet drama, filling my heart.
Too right!
Yeah. I’ve got enough drama in my own life to get heavily involved in the internet dramas. But then sometimes I can’t resist commenting on them.
I think it must be related to resisting the urge to go look at a review. Should. Be. In. Control.
is the PMS and lopping off of the heads related, ya think?
Drama? What drama? heh.
I’m not reading any reviews of DM because I’m currently reading DM.
*hugs*
Have you ever tried Airborne Health? It totally stops colds in their tracks and sends them away. But only if you take it during the first day or so. Get thee to a Walgreens! Or Walmart!
We don’t want you sick!
1. We swear by Airborne in our house.
2. I also am avoiding internet dramas at all cost.
3. Glad you came up for air long enough to blog.
Feel better
Yeah Airbourne does work if you use it right away. I did watch some of the drama but now I just want to read a book instead.
Feel better soon.
Colin? French!? Did they actually read DM?
(((Meljean)))
Try Vitamin C drops. They always work for me.
I received Demon Moon in the mail a few days ago and I actually let out a squeak of glee. Don’t know when I’ll get to it, alas. Also, in the tradition of getting Christopher Moore to sign right across the angel titty on Demon Angel, I’ll have to see if I can bring Demon Moon to some other author reading and asking him or her to sign the cover.
(Did I ever e-mail you the picture, by the way?)
Also, the thought of somebody mistaking Colin for French = heeeeelarious. Silly rabbit, not all metrosexuals are French!
Candy — I haven’t even gotten a copy yet! :joker: And, ahem…BEAVERTON POWELL’S, JULY 2, 7PM
Jennifer — I’m a huge Vit C believer, too — once I feel it coming on, I hit the OJ and the pills like crazy.
Bonnie — :slashyhug: right back
loonigrrl — that was my first thought, too (well, actually, I stared stupefied at “Frenchman” for about two minutes first before I had any thought). Then I was thinking: okay, maybe it’s been a while since they read it, and they had to get the review out ASAP, and just remembered the metrosexual part and assigned the French bit (hee, Candy). Because the entire review is a little off, but maybe she was trying to avoid spoilers, too. And then I have those moments of doubt where I think, “Hey, okay, so I’m known for being a little confusing and maybe after the 20th joke about him being British, they thought it really was a joke, and he was really French … ?” Or, okay, maybe she thought: omg, 480pgs, I’ll never make my review quota so I’ll skim! Or, a million other thoughts that ran through my head, all so that I wouldn’t have to think the dreaded: what, they didn’t read it?
Stacy — lol! That’s probably a good idea. There’s probably less drama in an old-style romance than online.
Tara Marie — I am feeling better already. And did I say thank you for not calling Colin French? If not, I’ll have to make a special note *g*
spyscribbler — thanks for the recommendation. I picked it up, so the next time, I’ll be ready.
Jaci — gah! I hope you’re enjoying it! I couldn’t help but think of your post a while back about reviews, too, when I was reading through these latest two. I know they’re not for authors, but for readers … which is why it’s frustrating when they seem to have wrong/no info for the readers, no matter the rating. I’ve read too many times that people buy based more on content than rating, because tastes are so varied that what works for one person won’t another. But how can a reader judge that if the review a) gives no real info or b) gets it wrong in a way that isn’t just a matter of interpretation, but just out-and-out incorrect? Sigh.
Suisan — yeah, I don’t have the best willpower when it comes to Internet drama OR reviews. The only time it seems that my willpower comes into play is when I’m deciding whether to comment or not. Which is maybe (considering the latest drama) a good thing. If nothing else, at least I don’t hit send.
May — lol, yeah. Not just me.
Hey, I’ve been following Colin since Falling for Anthony, I KNEW he wasn’t French.
I’m not reading reviews of DM either, since I’m reading it–and enjoying it very much, thank you!
And yes, Airborne is a life saver!
One more thing…there can never be too much violence…
Tara Marie — hee, you just inspired my latest contest. Might as well give everyone a chance to see that he’s not French.
Larissa — woot!
And I’m so glad, because the blood is still squirting.
hmmm… wonder when that review will be up at AAR…
HK ARG!!!…. no comment on her…
Keep chopping Meljean! Keep chopping!! :boggle:
