Because it relies too much on having read Demon Night. Another exchange will take its place.
But I’ll post it here.

“Miss Charlie, your city is safe for one more day.†Drifter settled into the stool next to Jake. “And it seems to me I know a novice who’d also benefit from a bit of that female fashion advice.â€
“Hey. Shape-shifting into Charlie’s body was your idea,†Jake reminded him. “And no offense, Charlie–but you never looked hotter.â€
“I reckon she has. Classier, too.â€
“But I’m so trashy in a miniskirt that you fly off two minutes after I show up? Right. You were afraid you’d kiss me.â€
“More like afraid I’d start pounding on you.†Drifter shook his head when Jake lifted his ass off the stool and gave it a shake. “Well, hell. That just didn’t come out right, did it?â€

Tonight, I’m finishing up Through the Veil.

I believe Jake is close to becoming my favorite hero of yours.
LOLOLOL!! I love these guys! Can’t wait for more of their witty banter in Demon Bound!
I love Jake. I love Ethan. I love all your menz!
Well, that reader would just have to go and read Demon Night then. No reason the rest of us should suffer.
Oh and Trinity #1 tomorrow! :bmww: :slashyhug:
Oh, what fun!
Heh. I love it. Tell me, what kind of screen time does Colin get in DB?
Zero
He’s mentioned in passing, but not even by name. I would have liked both Savi/Colin in there, but given the plot, they just didn’t fit. Any addition would would have been a gratuitous one, and I can’t make myself do that. Sigh.
On the other hand, the hellhound novella … he is getting mucho screen time. He will in the next book, as well.
The most important question of all is how much screen time does Michael get? Also LB and I have been wondering if Michael has scruff. I love scruff on a man. YUM.
Um….what kind of scruff?
:joker:
Russell Crowe kinda scruff…
Ew.
Hmm, maybe. Except with buzzed hair, dark skin, bigger (minds out of gutter! TALLER and RIPPED … okay, okay, that kind of ‘bigger’ works, too. He is, after all, a future hero of a romance novel. Even one who wears a sheet. More ’300′ than ‘GLADIATOR’. At least in my head — but I won’t say who his looks are based off of. It’s not an actor/model — or anyone I know personally. Cuz that’d be ick.)
But a lot hairy? Nah. Of course, whatever you imagine the in the privacy of your own home….
Oh dear god!
*Kate is a puddle of mush*
…only wears a sheet…is bigger…ripped?!?
*call 911!!*
His toga, I mean. That sheet.
He’s not naked anytime soon. Or in a bed.
But, yeah, dude is all manly muscles. I think I’ve downplayed it in his descriptions (only Savi called him ‘massive’ once) because he always hangs around in his loose tunic and pants. And he’s not as tall as Drifter.
Alice calls him pleasant to look upon. Which — once you know her — is quite a compliment :joker:
RC/Gerard but with a MASSIVE sword and wrapped in bedding.
got it.
Please do not tell CJ.
Well, not RC/Gerard — not the people. More the “sense” of those particular characters and the looks to the movies. Um, but only very superficially. And not necessarily their “look”.
…but, again, if that floats your boat
ETA: and now I will be quiet, so that I don’t spoil anything upcoming.
And mostly, that’s just because I’m not a huge RC fan. Or Gerard.
*ducks tomatoes*
But also, wrong ethnicity.
…This time really shutting up. :joker:
Since Michael is “massive” I guess he can fit into any type of boxers or briefs under his tiny toga.
But Gerry was so beautifully ripped in 300…
Well, I got the ethnicity part, MJ…I just see him anyway. It’s like MIND REVERTS TO RUSSELL mode….He’s more Nate from MFC than anything else…and Jake Riordan.
we won’t drag any secrets out of you !
yet….
I’m not a huge Gerard fan either, but I AM a huge fan of the ripped muscles, big, wrapped in a sheet dudes. Just so you know.
No Colin? Meljean, what’s wrong with you? I *guess* I’ll content myself with the hellhound antho, but dude, no Colin? :brickwall:
I tried, I really did!
But it’s really for the best. Having Jake and Colin in the same book might just send every female on a slap-happy tour through the Guardian universe. No male would emerge unslapped (or punched, or stabbed).
