The Evil Plan is …
revealed? Joss Whedon (kind of) explains what Dr. Horrible is all about.
I’m there, anyway, just because: NPH, Nathan Fillion, Joss Whedon.
They have lots of graphics to put up so that the word gets out. I like this one because you can see NF’s nip.
I’ll put it up on the sidebar as soon as I can figure out why I can’t edit my template, grr.
The OTHER evil plan (mine) involves RWA nationals … and, okay, it’s not so evil. I just bought my tickets, but I’ll only be around on Friday-Saturday. The Berkley signing is on Friday at 3pm. I’ll be hanging out pretty much the rest of the time. So if you see a redhead lurking behind a potted tree somewhere, it’s probably me — come and say hi!

Ah! We must hang! At least over snacks and coffee!
hey! i’ll be there and we can hang out too.
And I found this for you!

*vibrating with glee and excitement and all that good stuff*
Thank you for the linky, Meljean!
And to think I thought I would be the only redhead lurking behind the hotel lobby plant.
Umm isn’t he stealing that idea from Elizabeth Bear and Emma Bull, et al? http://www.shadowunit.org
*reads further on* Hmm, not quite, but almost.
Marjorie — definitely
Jill — oh, holy crap! *lmao* When it comes to Batman, I think Frank Miller will be known for two things: The Dark Knight Returns, and the “goddamn Batman!”
azteclady — I hope it turns out to be worth the pimpage!
Katiebabs — woot! we’ll have a meeting.
Estara — I don’t think so. For one, the timing of the production doesn’t fit — he was filming when their first episodes went up. Second, his is a mini-movie, not prose. So if you mean stealing as in, “he heard about what they are doing and ripped off their idea,” I can’t agree. But in the sense of, “oh, that seems kind of similar, in that weird synchronicity that happens among creative types now and then, and in this case purely in the sense of the format”, I’ll buy into that. But I would need more than a similarity of format to accuse anyone of stealing, whether it’s Joss Whedon or Joe Blow down the street.
Oops, I misread the date (the year) of their first episode. But still — I just don’t see it as stealing.
ETA: Okay, I misread again. Nope, the first SU episode when it was published is the same as when they were filming. It was just the date on the first entry that threw me off.
Yay! See you there!!
Yes, reading the description of what he’s doing further on, I’m mellowing my impression to the way you were putting it (how nifty having an author sum it up precisely) “oh, that seems kind of similar, in that weird synchronicity that happens among creative types now and then, and in this case purely in the sense of the formatâ€
*puff* *puff* Catching up again so I’m writing the all-purpose comment.
-I’m so excited you’ll be at RWA! Everyday I get more excited and nervous.
-Your hair writes much nicer letters to you than mine does to me. Although since I’ve publicly proclaimed I don’t LIKE my hair the relationship has really started to deteriorate. Watch your back.
It is the perfect trifecta Joss/NPH/Capt. Tightpants
How can this be a bad thing?
