Site Update

I’m importing all of my Odd Shots posts, but they aren’t showing up with photos. So I am slowly updating them with the correct pictures, which means you might see a few posts from the past few years show up in your feed reader. Sorry!

A few quick updates

First — I have a guest post with trading card giveaway and Heart of Steel excerpt up at Marie Treanor’s blog.

Second — You might have noticed that Odd Shots is gone. We put up a short announcement, but then the site disappeared so quickly I think that many missed it, but the thing was: with deadlines and projects coming in quickly, we felt that we simply weren’t giving the site and readers our best, and that was really sucky. So we decided to scale back, so that we could focus on what really needed to be focused on: our writing. Ilona, Jill, Nalini, Patrice and I are still at our individual sites, and around the web. We’re just not at Odd Shots.

I will be importing in a few of my favorite posts over the next couple of weeks (fake covers, book pr0n, etc.) For now, the links to the covers on my “Extras” page are broken, but I’ll fix those after I import the images and posts.

Third — There is no third. I just seemed like a better number than two. Ah, but don’t forget to enter the Wild & Steamy guessing game at Jill’s site!

ETA! Oh! There’s is a Fourth — A Mina/Rhys novella will be included in the mass market reprint of The Iron Duke, coming this January. The novella will be available later as a standalone ebook.

with a new cover (kind of), a new pen name, and a gift certificate. Come on over!

I’m over at Odd Shots…

I think I’m going to be offline most of tomorrow, so I’ve put my post up a little early. Today, I’m (kind of) talking about the Heart of Steel cover, and offering a prayer to the cover gods.

Odd Shots Thursday!

Just a reminder that I have Thursdays now! Today, I’m talking about my latest trip to Safeway’s bakery section, and asking whether you’d eat something that you know is chocolate…but looks like something else.

Also, this has been all over, but in case you haven’t seen it yet … well, if you’re a fan of Star Wars, you have to. :-D

Odd Shots — Thursday!

Jill Myles and I have switched our days at Odd Shots — so from now on, I’ll be posting on Thursdays instead of Fridays. This Thursday, I’m giving away Seasons 1-3 of The Guild.

P.S. It only took us a year, but Odd Shots is now mobile! If you bookmark us to your home screen, we even have a cute little button.

Signings, Guest Posts, and Steampunk (and win two books.)

burning up coverAna at the Book Smugglers wrote an early review of my novella, Here There Be Monsters, for Steampunk Week II.

And last night at around 3 a.m., I sent her a guest post about steampunk romance that’s supposed to go up on Saturday (if it’s Saturday, click here!) Last night was kind of hazy: I remember a lot of caffeine, and cackling maniacally after taxes and a cruddy writing day, so all bets are off for that post. (And there will be a giveaway with it — not one of my books, but it’s steampunk.)

Today (Friday!) I’ve got a post up at Odd Shots, talking about book signings, with pictures from different signings, and a book to give away that I bought at a signing: Patricia Briggs’s SILVER BORNE. Drop on by, and comment on my ever-changing hair. Or, you know, just talk about whether or not you’d go to a signing.

I’m getting back to writing. Another 3 a.m. and a caffeine IV is calling my name.

I’m at Odd Shots…

talking about all of the changes the Demon Blood cover went through before it was finalized.

At Odd Shots, talking about redesigning the site…

and my inner control freak. (Er, not that there is an outer control freak, is there?)

And I usually don’t post these, but one search term that brought someone to my site was

fuck against wall: romance novels

Dear searcher, you might like these:

Just click on a cover! Although, okay — DEMON ANGEL was against a closet door, DEMON NIGHT was while standing in the middle of a room, and DEMON BOUND was against a tree. Still. They were upright.

Plugging away. Taking naughty pictures.

…and posting them over at Odd Shots.

But I’m warning you, they aren’t totally safe for work.

Are you sure? Okay. Here’s the link.
