I like the protagonists. Lilith and Hugh are interesting characters, and they have a very different romance going on. The worldbuilding was amazing–I could go on and on about the worldbuilding, but you should just read the book.
But if you want to read what she didn’t like you have to go there 😛
Jayne at Dear Author has her review up, and the comment section serves as their January Book Club discussion forum — Go read! Comment! Discuss! The review is fantastic (And both Ja(y)nes enjoyed the book, giving it equal grades, which thrills and shocks me, because after lurking there for several months and getting to know their tastes, I wasn’t expecting them to have similar opinions on it) and Jayne raises some points in her review about free will, Lucifer, and the angels’ absence that I’ll try to address ASAP here … but I don’t want to interfere with reader discussion, or have an overwhelming presence there (or any other reader blogs that want to discuss the book) so I’ll likely keep my head in the sand after tomorrow, and for the next month or so.
If you have any questions about the book, though, do feel free to contact me — I’ll be happy to clarify anything that I can.
The Seven Sins contest ends tonight! For a chance to win a copy of the book, please comment on any one of the Seven Sins posts. I’ll be drawing names at midnight tonight (Pacific time).
