Aside from all of the great gifts and family and holiday cheer, the holidays are the best time to curl up with a book. And our fellow Odd Shot, Jill Myles, has a brand-new book out next week that will definitely heat up those cold days (unless you’re beneath the equator. Then she’ll make them hotter!) And I’m giving away five copies of her book to five luckily commenters.
Check out her cool video (her husband does the art for her. Is her husband crazy-awesome or what?)
And here’s the description from Jill’s site:
It Sucks To Be Her…
Living as a succubus has a bit of a learning curve, but with sexy fallen angel Noah to scratch her sensual Itch, Jackie Brighton is finally starting to feel ahead of the game. She almost doesn’t miss her gorgeous vampire master Zane – or his sinful, teasing mouth. She’s trying to convince herself of that, anyway.
But Jackie’s past mistakes catch up with her, spinning her life out of control once more. Just as her friend Remy’s inner demon comes out to play, Noah and Jackie are arrested by the angelic Serim Council. When Jackie seizes the chance to escape, she falls right into Zane’s waiting arms. As she’s pulled into a game of cat and mouse between vampires and angels, she finds she must also finally choose between the two men in her life. Can she decide between Noah and Zane, or will she lose everything she’s ever wanted? Because there’s more at stake than just her heart…
And never let it be said that Jill doesn’t give back! She has Zane’s Tale (a short story from that gorgeous vampire’s point-of-view that takes place between Succubi Like It Hot and My Fair Succubi) available for 99cents on Kindle, or free on Nook and at Smashwords.
All you have to do to enter is comment before Saturday, Christmas Day, 2010 at midnight PST (maybe tell us what you’re doing this weekend? If you’re heading to a relatives’ home, are you bringing any books along?)

Congratulations! And I just want to add — everyone’s entries were hilarious!. I loved them all! For those of you who didn’t follow along, here is a taste of the beginning…
“Why, if it isn’t Mr. Talbot Carver,” exclaimed Charlene DeFleur, descending the stairs in her long rustling ball gown, her eyes wide in an expression of frank alarm at the sight of the tall, broad-shouldered man standing in the hallway in his dusty riding breeches, the fabric smoothly taut against his virile form. “What ever could you intend, coming here while my father is away?”
He stared up at her with his hard eyes, and his hardened body got as hard as his heart and his thighs. “Damn you and your deceptively innocent whore’s eyes!” he gritted. “I have learned that your father … is also mine!”
Charlene gasped, frankly alarmed all over again, and almost fainted. She valiantly fought off the dizzy spell. Carver was too far away to catch her, and tumbling down the stairs would be unladylike.“But that is impossible!” she cried, after a quick moment spent counting on her fingers. “For you are only seven years my father’s junior!”
He still gave her that icy stare.“Not if you make it dog years,” he said and took a few leap up the stairs. He took a hold of her hand, and he held it tightly as her body shook.“You wicked wench!” he said and he gasped once again.
“No” Talbot angrily replied ” That man is not your father, as you have been raised to believe. Your feckless mother had an affair with my father and you, my dear, are the result!”
Charlene cried out in anguish and collapsed, unable to stay upright under the weight of her despair. “No!” she cried “No! How can it be true? How can you, who is my true love, be my own brother? Oh, please, say it is not so, how can the fates be so cruel!”
Are the fates so cruel? Will Charlene and Talbot find their happily ever after? Find out in the comments here…
