Oct 21: a science fiction pack or a $15 gift certificate
DECISION ’08
OCTOBER 21
Days left until DEMON BOUND is out: 14
Days left until the national election: 14
If you are looking for the daily vote, you’re in the right spot.
Today’s vote is between two very worthy opponents: Science fiction and a gift certificate. The science fiction pack includes:
GABRIEL’S GHOST by Linnea Sinclair, GRIMSPACE by Ann Aguirre, and a DVD of THE FIFTH ELEMENT, starring Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich.
Or, you can vote for:
A $15 Gift Certificate at your favorite bookstore
(that I can easily access, such as online bookstores, or a gift card at Borders, Powell’s, or Barnes & Noble.)
Vote for your favorite. The winner will receive the most popular choice, along with a copy of any title from my backlist (books 1-6 of the Guardian series — this does not include Demon Bound.)
My backlist suggestion: DEMON NIGHT, because it would serve as an excellent companion to THE FIFTH ELEMENT. Charlie and her sister Jane are Bruce Willis fans, and the Diva Dance scene is referenced specifically in the novel. (Okay, and so is “Yippee kai yay, motherfucker” — but DIE HARD isn’t SF, so I couldn’t include that as a candidate.) And for those who want a gift certificate, $15 is just enough to buy the first two single-title books that come before DEMON NIGHT. 😉
Ready to vote? Great! But first, a word from our sponsor:

Note: Voting does not enter you to win.
Everyone can vote, but only by leaving a comment in this post are you eligible to win whichever option receives the most votes by the end of the day.
Feel free to simply state “voted” or “present” or even a smiley to enter — or, you might choose to argue your case. Do you strongly prefer one option over the other? Tell everyone why you think they should vote the way you do, and why they won’t be sorry if they are the ones to win it. Comments from dissenters, moderates, and fangirls are all welcome, but personal attacks will get you disqualified.
Everyone who comments in the daily vote is automatically entered to win The Grand Prize. There is no limit to how many daily contests you can enter (but using more than one name/e-mail address is cheating and will disqualify you. If you make a mistake or if you know that another voter has the same ISP as you, e-mail me). You can vote every day and comment every day, but only one comment per person in the two week period is entered into the Grand Prize drawing. (So if you have entered to win today’s prize, you are entered to win both today’s daily prize and the Grand Prize. Today’s entry does not carry over to tomorrow’s daily contest, however.)
For instructions in how to receive an additional entry into the Grand Prize drawing, please visit DEMON BOUND headquarters.
If you aren’t interested in winning either of the daily options (for example, you’ve already read the books or don’t like the featured sub-genre) you can vote without being entered to win simply by not leaving a comment. If you’d like to argue your case (you loved or hated a book) but don’t want to win, you can comment, but just be certain to say that you aren’t entering to win.
For complete rules, please visit the DEMON BOUND HQ.
Good luck!
