Happy Veteran’s Day!
I hope that many of you in the U.S. have today off — and if you have served this country or your own, thank you from all of us here at Odd Shots!
…and wisdom teeth update: Still can barely open my mouth much more than toothbrush-width (which, ironically, makes flossing all but impossible, because the whole point of getting rid of the wisdom teeth was so that I’d have more room back there to keep the teeth clean) and yesterday afternoon the pain in my jaw moved up into my ears, which laid me out.
I’m pretty good with pain, but one of the few things I can’t deal with is pain in my ears. So I’m off in about five minutes for a follow-up with the dentist, and I’m hoping he can either fix it or do something else. Either way, I hope to be unconscious/sleeping for the rest of the day, and trying not to turn my head too fast.
Which makes me wonder: What’s the one thing that you can’t handle? We all put up with various forms of pain, but what’s the one thing that makes you curl up and whimper just thinking about it?
(And in other, non-painful news — congratulations to Nalini for hitting the New York Times and USA Today lists with Play of Passion! yay!)
