Hello, 2010!

ETA: It’s Ilona’s birthday! Head on over and wish her a happy one! 🙂

You know, 2009 wasn’t a bad year in a lot of ways, but I’m not sorry to see it go. And part of the reason is… I just didn’t get to many movies. I saw UP, Monsters vs. Aliens (with my daughter), Star Trek, and…I think that’s it. THAT KILLS ME. No District 9. No Paranormal Activity. No Zombieland! But although I’ve been running behind on my work all year, I’m on the verge of becoming caught up, and that means I’ll be able to steal a morning here and there at the theater. And what am I looking forward to? A lot, because 2010 is apparently a paranormal fan’s dream.

First, Daybreakers. I have a weird love for Ethan Hawke anyway, but Ethan Hawke and vampires? WIN.

Then, starring Denzel Washington, The Book of Eli (post-apocalyptic FTW!)

Legion — with badass angels bent on destroying mankind — looks fantastic, and I’m praying it doesn’t suck.

And do you want werewolves? I know a bunch of us must be looking forward to The Wolfman.
