It won't surprise me at all if I forget my camera just because I took it out of the suitcase to get this picture.
So, I’m all packed and almost ready to go (the flight is tomorrow at 9). I just have to throw in the (tons of) makeup/hairstuff-for-my-thin-limp-locks I’ll use tomorrow morning, and be off. Oh, and my cell phone. (Anyone want to take bets on me forgetting that?) I actually don’t have enough stuff (I only need pjs and one change of clothes) so a padded backpack is going in on top of all of this so that it doesn’t shuffle around too much while I haul it about.
Despite appearances, I’m not taking a lot of underwear. Those are my bookmarks.
Also, the 3-1-1 quart bag thing is a joke. Even travel-sized stuff, I have way more soaps/lotions/eyestuff/hairjunk than that.
Book news: my sister stole CRY WOLF and MY WICKED ENEMY, both of which she says are really, really good (two reallys). Hopefully I will see Carolyn Jewel in SF, but because my sister is a thief, I won’t have her book to sign. But that is probably good — I was going to take a book to read on the plane, but now I will probably be taking my WIP instead (printed out, so that I can do handwritten work — I’m not taking my computer to SF).
India Grey’s MISTRESS: HIRED FOR THE BILLIONAIRE’SÂ PLEASURE was totally worth the shipping/exchange rate. I am such a ridiculous fangirl. Even as I’m scrunching up my eyebrows over some parts (esp. the lack of resolution with Carlos), I’m loving every second of having my heart turned into a Twizzler. I liked Chelsea Cain’s HEARTSICK (although I did think it would be more suspensful — but the characters are so, so worth it), and look forward to the sequel (and like Keishon, I wonder why Amazon is letting advance reviews on it?)
