Oct 23: The Regency Historical BFF faceoff
DECISION ’08
OCTOBER 23
Days left until DEMON BOUND is out: 12
Days left until the national election: 12
If you are looking for the daily vote, you’re in the right spot.
The Guardian series kicks off with HOT SPELL, a novella set in the regency era that introduces Anthony Ramsdell and Colin Ames-Beaumont. The romance is between Emily, Colin’s sister, and Anthony — but there is a second important relationship: Anthony and Colin’s friendship.
So, in honor of Colin and Anthony, BFFs, I’ve chosen two different packs of books starring a Colin and an Anthony and set during the Regency era. One book from each is one of my favorite all-time romances. One’s a pleasure pack, the other is a guilty pleasure pack. One set is a little old, the other’s a little old school. You decide which is which.
THE VISCOUNT WHO LOVED ME and ROMANCING MR. BRIDGERTON by Julia Quinn.
or
TENDER REBEL by Johanna Lindsey and THE HEIRESS BRIDE by Catherine Coulter.
Vote for your favorite. The winner will receive the most popular choice, along with a copy of any title from my backlist (books 1-6 of the Guardian series — this does not include Demon Bound.)
My backlist suggestion: HOT SPELL or DEMON MOON, because they feature my Anthony and Colin. One becomes a Guardian, the other becomes a vampire. Both live to see the twentieth century, but only one sees the twenty-first — and neither of their stories is complete without the mention of the other. For fun, here are Colin’s answers to the Proust questionnaire.
Not quite as fun (for his sister), here is Colin when he’s hungry.
So, are you ready to vote? Great! But first, a word from our sponsor:

Note: Voting does not enter you to win.
Everyone can vote, but only by leaving a comment in this post are you eligible to win whichever option receives the most votes by the end of the day.
Feel free to simply state “voted” or “present” or even a smiley to enter — or, you might choose to argue your case. Comments from dissenters, moderates, and fangirls are all welcome, but personal attacks will get you disqualified.
Don’t forget to vote in the Grand Prize poll by November 3rd — everyone can vote in that poll, even if you don’t post the widget anywhere.
For complete rules and instructions in how to receive an additional entry into the Grand Prize drawing, please visit DEMON BOUND headquarters.
Good luck!
