Plog
Sigh. The word is spectacularly stupid, and yet I’m doing it. I may be the last author to do it, actually — but it might be necessary. It occurred to me while I was checking my Amazon page that the product description for Demon Angel is not very, um, informative or helpful.
Book Description
All hell breaks loose in Meljean Brook’s erotic, supernatural debut novel.Lilith, a demon, has spent 2,000 years tempting men and guaranteeing their eventual damnation. That is, until she meets her greatest temptation: the man whose life mission has been to kill her.
…yeah. So I realized that the easiest way to make certain that the product info is kept up-to-date (and actually describe the book) was to make those little author posts. So I did, and stuck in the back cover copy, and then added a more personal-type message (which was really dorky and something I’d written before, but I was going fast — so I’ll probably update the message later.)
I’ll admit that I don’t read the posts that Amazon sends to me; in fact, I’ve banished them from the front page when I go to Amazon, because I find them so distracting. I do read (or at least skim) the author posts when I’m on a specific product page, however, so I hope that it does make it easier for someone checking out the book on Amazon to get a sense of what it’s about.
But Plog? Sigh.
